Furano, Hokkaido, Japan, Lavender Fields are abloom!

Furano, Hokkaido, Japan, Lavender Fields are are blooming. Furano has been one of my favorite places to visit, no matter what the season. But the month of July brings the Lavender, purple bands of color matching the glorious fragrance.
At the famed "Farm Tomita" in Nakafurano, some 60,000 plants of lavender transformed the gentle slopes into a lush carpet, with fields of other flowers like white baby's-breath, red poppies and other flowers adding to the stripes of color to the vibrant patchwork.
