Singapore watches as a tornado decends and come ashore at the Tanjong Pagar ferry terminal

Waterspout (tornado over water) sighted in Singapore on 11 May 2019. A boat sails into it around the 50 second mark. It came ashore at the Tanjong Pagar ferry terminal, close to the central business district.
"It was about to rain and the skies were quite dark, and then I saw a line in the horizon, which started coming closer," Mr Lim, an economist, told the Straits Times.
According to the National Environment Agency (NEA) of Singapore, a waterspout is a rare and short-lived weather phenomenon that is seen over Singapore's coastal waters. These Tornadoes usually dissipate as they reach the coast. THey also mentioned that the duration of these waterspouts could be anything from a few minutes to half an hour, and typically form under cumulus or cumulonimbus clouds over warm coastal waters. Most of the time, just before showers start.
