2007 World Series of Poker® Draws More than 54,000 Entrants, the Largest WSOP in History
The 2007 World Series of Poker will be culminating on Tuesday, July 17 with the $10,000 No-Limit Texas Hold'em World Championship -- the Main Event. The final table will begin at noon.
The prize pool for this year's Main Event is $59,784,954. The winner will receive $8.25 million and a total of 621 event players will finish in the money, receiving at least $20,320. With 6,358 entries, this year's Main Event is the second-largest live poker tournament ever played. Due to the size of the event playing field, the tournament's start was spread over four days, beginning July 6.
