Want To Hack GoogleTV OS?

Gtvhacker (Tweet has links to the code and docs) posted a tweet with links to an unofficial SDK/NDK package and docs. Of course I jumped at the opertunity as I am a budding Google TV enthusiast.
he Google TV operating system is based on Android 2.1 and secured via NX (Non eXecutable) Stack and a chrooted chrome Browser. The Operating Systems ability to push updates automatically without user intervention makes general hacking a bit tough.
Right out of the box, the GoogleTV OS  is providing the following Application Base;
  • CNBC Real-Time
  • Gallery
  • Google Chrome
  • Logitech Help Assistant (Logitech Only)
  • Logitech Media Player (Logitech Only)
  • Logitech Vid HD (Logitech Only)
  • Napster
  • NBA Game Time
  • Netflix
  • Pandora
  • Settings
  • TV
  • Twitter
GoogleTV SDK and Toolchain support comes from the Google itself and the Gpl'd portions of the GoogleTV source can be found here.
Since there is no GoogleTV NDK, the gtvhacker team have combined the Intel SDK Toolchain from the Google TV Mirrored Source site with the work of the Android x86 project to provide unofficial support in the interim.
So code yourself out. I am going to see if I can get the OS to run on one of the Intel Atom based boxes.
